Location

Arbor Linden Lodge is a few minutes walk away from the University of East Anglia and close to the site of the new Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. The private hospital BUPA is a short drive away. Very quick access to the A11 London Road, the Southern Bypass, the A47 main route to the centre of England  are bonuses, as is a direct route to Norwich City Centre, straight down Earlham Road

The City Centre has many car parks but most visitors will probably head for the new shopping center, Castle Mall, which under the shadow of Norwich's magnificent ancient Castle (well worth a visit). The several exits of the Mall will let you visit just about all parts of the shopping area including the large covered market. If heading for a car park is not your idea of fun Linden House mangers Tanya and Shaun have arranged free off-street parking for their guests a short walk from the City Centre. You can leave your car and be in the covered market or the Mall  or the Castle in just a few minutes after a gentle stroll. You will pass the Victorian Gardens, the magnificent Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John, pass the remains of the original Norwich city wall, and pass down streets ST Giles and Upper ST Giles, streets as old as Norwich itself.

The Norwich Ring Road passes just a short distance away from Linden House. This road is your gateway to North Norfolk and the coast at Great Yarmouth. Between these parts is a vast network of rivers and flooded old peat digging sites collectively known as the Norfolk Broads. You could live in the area for many years and not see all that the Broads have to offer, from wildlife to water sports of the most genteel kind.
